The Making of Miss Boudoir®
Meet the Joneses... chief renovators and decorators

The First Boudoir Studio 2007
From the beginning of February 2007, all photography/retouching work stopped and for 6 weeks, Emma spent every day working on getting the studio fit for prim and proper ladies!
Emma wasn't alone in the renovation, she had a number of helpers - her mother and father donated every spare minute, (and some funds!) when they weren't doing their day jobs as did 3 of her closest friends.
It was a hard, HARD 6 weeks but throughout she learned some valuable DIY skills, patience and how not to leave her mother alone for even one second unsupervised, otherwise, some important wall, object or tool will get demolished, painted or destroyed!
Miss Boudoir® Expansion - Regency Lounge 2008
So there we were again - renovation, DIY, interior design (of sorts)!
Jan 2008 - the work starts. Faced with a half completed room, walls half boarded, floor carpeted and had some electrics installed. The task should be easy you'd think - no, not at all! The room has been left to become damp by it's previous occupier and what a state it is in!
It was a hard decision to make - is this room worth it, worth the hassle and all the problems faced to get it to a decent condition? Yes, it's just going to take some fixing, some patience (lots of it), a pot of money and vision.
This particular room was much harder than Emma's first studio, simply due to the problems encountered; delays due to the Mill maintenance and Emma was working flat out while trying to renovate therefore it took much longer than the previous studio.
Below are photos taken along the way including how it was before she worked her magic, the process, the helpers, tools and finally the finished lounge as it was in November 2008! We hope you enjoy browsing!
The Styling Room & New Prop Stop/Wardrobe Area!
Emma wanted this room to be fresh, a little girly and in keeping with her website colours. Therefore pink, chrome and black was the perfect choice and it turned out better than she could have ever hoped for! It's a perfect mix of contemporary and vintage which really does go hand in hand. It is her favourite room out of the entire studio, completely Emma to a T and clients always comment on the finish!
Finished Regency Lounge - November 2008
Emma is still stunned when she looks back at the photos of the original room. It's hard to believe she, her family and friends transformed a damp, depressing mess into a beautiful and peaceful room which she now feels so at home in and is proud to have brought back to life.
The help she received from my wonderful family, partner and friends has been completely unbelievable, she really couldn't ask for a better bunch! Emma will always be so grateful to them and hopefully one day she can repay them in some way for their kindness and continued support!
