Copyright Notice For Photographers & Businesses
It is unfortunate that I have to write this notice but it is due to the sheer volume of infringing and criminal photographers who have copied the text from my website, put it on theirs and simply changed my name and location like it's a perfectly normal and honorable thing to do.
The text on my website is personal to me and my service, it is copyrighted and is not for others to steal and deceive potential clients into thinking it is about them, their photography or their studios.
People looking to hire professional photographers do not want to see the same text popping up on websites, it raises serious questions and looks extremely unprofessional on all who display it.
There is a very handy tool to look back at the history of a website, when it was published, changes made etc so the true author can be proven.
If you are thinking that my text looks appealing, suits your service and website then think again. Take some time out and write your own. The internet is scoured weekly for copies of my text and pages using two different companies to catch out the infringers. Once caught the following actions will be taken to protect my service and the general public from untrustworthy photographers -
- A notice will be filed for infringement of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) which will result in your site being removed from major search engines like Google and others.
- Your website address, screen shots and evidence of the infringement will be posted on my blog for other professionals to see.
For all the true professional and honest photographers visiting this page, I apologise that you have to read this.
